Red letter day! Adair Co. Water plant is online! Adair County Water District Manager Lenny Stone got the first drink of water this morning, as the new plant went officially online. "It tastes good," Stone said. And this is for real. The $14 million dollar plant--$15 million with backup generator--started the flow of water which will supply all of Adair County, including the City of Columbia, and will have the capacity to produce water for sale, as needed, in outlying areas.
