Adair Countians showed refinement, Fairdale, Ky pastor says

ACHS made a positive impression at King of the Bluegrass Classic in Fairdale, KY a host there writes. "All the people here from Adair County showed a lot of class, Robb Stott, pastor of Mt. Holly UMC in Fairdale said, "It was good to have them here in our hometown."

Dear Ed,

The church that I serve as pastor, Mt. Holly UMC, provides a lot of the volunteers for the King of the Bluegrass Tournament each year. Gregg Longacre, the Fairdale Boys' coach, is a member of Mt. Holly. Our church provided the food for the hospitality room, serving both the press and coaching staff members Friday night.

I want you to know that the boys from Adair County, their coaching staff and their fans all showed a lot of refinement and made a very positive impression here. I know that the Adair County overtime loss to a very strong University Heights team was truly disappointing. Such a loss would knock the wind out of lesser teams.

Gas Price Drumbeat: Prices up, but much more here

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

Gas prices have risen in the last few days; however, ours went up more than around us. For example in Campbellsville today it is $2.79. In nearby Russell Springs it is $2.81. Ours is $2.98. That is 17 cents different very near to us.
