Columbia Utilities Commission receives major award Jim Williams accepts Kentucky Rural Water Association Award With one photo On August 21 and 23, 2006, representatives of Kentucky's public water and wastewater utilities gathered for the Kentucky Rural Water Association's (KRWA) 27th Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition held in Owensboro, Kentucky. Over 680 utility professionals gathered at the Executive Inn Rivermont to join KRWA in celebrating 27 years of "helping water and wastewater utilities help themselves," and to hear presentations from industry experts, network with peers, and tour Kentucky's largest exhibition of products and services available to public utilities. Two killed in one car accident in Cumberland County Neither occupant belted; both ejected from vehicle The driver and a passenger were both pronounced dead at the scene of a one vehicle accident in Cumberland County shortly after midnight on Friday, August 25, 2006. Jackie N. Grider, 40, Tompkinsville, KY, and Sherry L. Ledbetter, 38, Celina, TN, were pronounced dead at the scene, eight miles south of Burkesville on KY 61, by the Cumberland County Coroner's office. Several strides made to get ACES ready for students Most of computers hooked up; classroom furniture full assembled Today (August 24, 2006) we made several more strides toward getting our school ready for students....We have rooms with fully assembled furniture and ready for teachers to position them... We also have had most all our computers hooked up to the network thanks to Chris Collins from our Technology Department.
