We only got a few snow flakes here this morning, and then back to rain, but when the temperature drops enough to get ice, we usually get a nice bunch of icicles that stay a while. These were hanging around on Burkesville Street.

Jeeps were popular when our Dad bought this one

By Ralph Roy Waggener

My niece Mitzi Bault brought me an old photo that stirred memories from when my older brother Arthur Lee Waggener drove dad's, E.P. Waggener's, Willis Jeep that he bought in Glasgow, KY (at least I think that was where it came from). The top on this Jeep came from an old car, most likely from the Feese Brother's Junk Yard.

E.P. had a lot of ideas, one being improving the tobacco spear and making it a clamper type that made it easier to put on a tobacco stick! Dad made a lot of things - some good, some not so good. I'd most likely put this Jeep top as both, worked good, but for looks, well the photo tells the story.
