What to name the new baby at the Pampered Angus Ranch?

2018-08-20 - from New Columbia/Greater Bliss, Adair County, KY - Photo by Vicky Pike.
Vicky Pike of Miss Vicky's Pampered Angus Ranch, writes that calving season has started at the Pampered Angus Ranch. This little lady is a bit small and needed a little extra attention so I loaded them up and brought them to the outskirts of the big city of New Columbia. They are tucked away safely in the barn tonight. Ellie Mae is no longer the baby of the place but at least she has a sister to keep her company and teach her all about life on the Ranch. Guess we will need a name for her. I'm up for suggestions. - Vicky Browning Pike

Suggested names, comments
  1. Charles Marshburn - Charles Marshburn offers name for new calf at Miss Vicky's
  2. Billy Joe Fudge - Autumn Fog
  3. Brenda Clark - New baby at Miss Vicky's should be called Blissy
  4. JIM - Latest proposal for GB's newest citizen: :New Cowlumbia"

Yellow flower corrected - it is Partridge Pea, not Jewelweed

Sharon Whitehurst writes:
I believe your yellow flower is 'Partridge Pea' [chamaecrista fasciculata] very widespread at this time of year. [And no, I don't have that Latin name on the tip of my tongue!]. Jewelweed blossoms have a more orange coloration and the stems have a 'watery' consistency when broken - supposedly the liquid is soothing if applied to the irritation from stinging nettle or the like. Jewelweed produces dangling seed pods which 'explode' when touched. - Sharon Whitehurst
