Bill Lloyd, renowned Kentucky State Police officer (1931-2018) 
He was a resident of Eli, Russell County, KY, at the time of his death, and a long-time resident Columbia, Adair County, KY. He had an outstanding reputation for his years of service with the Kentucky State Police, a brotherhood in which he proudly served from July 6, 1954 until his retirement 32 years later. He attended Berea College, nearly completing a degree in Political Science before entering the US Air Force. He was a decorated USAF veteran, and will be accorded full military honors at committal rites at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Randolph, Metcalfe County, KY. He was a devout Christian, an active Christian servant in the Parks Ridge Church of God in Russell County. He was a 50 year+ Mason. He was the widower first of Frances Jeanette Thompson Lloyd, and later, Melinda Jackson Lloyd. Billy O'Neil Lloyd, son of the late Carma & Josephine Gann Lloyd, was born on Thursday, June 4, 1931 in Corbin, KY, and departed this life on Friday, July 13, 2018 at his home in the Eli Community of Russell County, KY, having attained the age of 87 years, 1 month and 9 days. Bill had professed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and had been active at the Parksridge Church of God. CU hosts largest ever FCA Leadership Camp Of the 685 people who attended the FCA camp at Campbellsville University, there were 33 salvations made with many more re-dedications. Around 500 campers ranging from middle school to high school attended the camp with about 185 Huddle leaders, coaches and staff. By Ed & Linda Waggener If you're hungry for brunch and in no mood to cook this Saturday morning, this news will be relevant. We try to sample all the food booths at Farmers Market on the Square from Saturday to Saturday during the season and today's was another one to recommend. We enjoyed breakfast burritos cooked to order at Blackaby Hill Farm's booth. A warm tortilla filled with their own brand of sausage, eggs, cheese and vegetables was over the top.
