Has Huck Finn found the secret to time travel and taken up residence in Knifley? - Robert Johnson
Robert, thanks - Good guess about the mysterious COF. Some think he may be Abe Martin of Brown County, IN. Lots of kinship there. In any case, Adair County is a lot more interesting place with his commentary, whether everyone agrees with him or not. - EW

ISP seeks host families for college's International students

Host families do not house international students. Rather they agree to have regular contact with the students throughout the school year. It usually involves having them to your house a few times a year for a meal or special event and checking in on them periodically to make sure they are adjusting to American life. When our college's international students return to their home country, they will tell their family all about America and what they have found here in Columbia with their host family.

Thanks, COF - Don't know about that, but if Yankees can make as good a cornbread as that was on New Year's Day, more glory to Northerners. It was crusty and good. Perfect with the blackeyed peas. And crusty the way my mother's Knifley-derived cornbread recipe was. - EW
