She a member of a leading south Adair County, KY family was the daughter of the late Jack & Edith Hayes Roach, and the widow of Burley B. Janes. She leaves five direct living descendants.Louise Janes, 91, of the Sparksville Community in Adair County passed away Wednesday Dec. 20, 2017 at 10:56amCT at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, KY after an illness. The funeral service will be Friday, December 22, 2017 at 11amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Russell Janes and Bro. Troy Elmore officiating. With a three hour drive ahead and the hour I lost behind the parade, we would be lucky to reach our destination in time. We took 127 all the way to Danville with no issues. However, in Danville snow covered the untreated streets, and as I approached a red light, my vehicle fishtailed and snaked off the side of the road, stopping within inches of a sign. "You handled that like a pro," Judy said. "How do we put this SUV in all-wheel drive?" I called Guy without telling him where we were. "All wheel drive won't help you on ice. Have you hit something? Deaths By Trooper Jeff Gregory, KSP POST 4 Hudson, KY - Kentucky State Police Post 04 Troopers and Detectives responded to a death Investigation Wednesday morning involving two Breckinridge Co. men. On 12-20-2017 at approximately 12:18amET, KSP received a call from the Breckenridge Co. dispatch requesting KSP assistance at a shooting that took place outside of a residence at 484 Centerview Rough River Rd. in Hudson, KY. When Police Officers arrived they found Donny Peek (60) of Westview, KY, and Jeffrey Moore (55) of Harned, KY, both deceased in the driveway from what was later to be determined as gunshot wounds suffered by both men.
