Driver injured in Toyota SUV v Peterbilt Tractor Trailer

The driver of a 2017 Peterbilt Tractor Trailer was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellville following a collision with a 2013 Toyota SUV on KY 210/Hodgenville Road, at its intersection with KY 744, at 11amET, on Tuesday, December 19, 2017.



Claybourne C. Engleman, 58, of Excelsior Springs, MO, was traveling West on Kentucky 210 in the tractor-trailer, approximately seven miles west of Campbellsville, KY, when Kenneth E. Atwood, 82, of Campbellsville, operating the SUV, turned into the path of the semi, causing the semi to strike his vehicle.

Engleman was transported by Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS to Taylor Regional Hospital for injuries sustained.

Atwood was not injured.

TCSO Deputy Brandon Wilson was assisted on the scene by CTCEMS, Campbellsville Fire Department, and the Taylor County Volunteer Fire Department.

Mitzi Bault writes at 10:28amCT, Tuesday, 19 Dec 2017, "Ricky and I are on our way to Louisville. Wreck outside of Campbellsville on KY 210. Car and tractor trailer. Can't see the car but, this is truck. KY 210 will be closed for some time. We are going on to Louisville, but through Greensburg." CM will post more, later, when reports come in. - EW
