Following such an event, the potential exists for bacteriological contamination of the water supply therefore this Boil Water Advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure. Until further notice, boil all water used for drinking and cooking, bringing the water to a rolling boil for three minutes before using. This advisory will remain in effect until the situation has been corrected and test results have shown the water to be of an acceptable quality. Kendall Harvey, 82, Adair County, KY (1934-2017) Mr. Harvey was a faithful member of the Columbia First Church of the Nazarene, which he helped build. He was a carpenter, owning H & H Building Contractors for many years. He made life for all better with his friendship and kindness. He had an extraordinary wit and humor, reflected in his perfect delivery of countless stories. But most of all, he left his mark in his exemplary walk in the Christian faith. He was a highly talented inventor, a builder and craftsman of unparalleled skill. Few have, or will ever, exceed his ability to see a need, provide the solution, yet have no thought of public gratitude, shunning much well-deserved attention. He was a member of a great Adair County family, the son of the late Finis Albert & Ethel Mitchum Harvey. His wife, Cecile Hill Harvey, survives. He leaves 23 direct living descendants to carry on his legacy.
