His wife, Christina Swincher, Columbia, KY, survives. He leaves six direct living descendants. His final resting place will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Jefferson County, KY.

Duane Swincher, 67, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 10amCT/11amET, at Newcomer Funeral Home/East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY with burial in Hopewell cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday from 2pm-7pmCT/3pm-8pmET, at Newcomer Funeral Home.

He was born September 12, 1949, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. He was the son of the late Elmo & Mary Slaughter Swincher. He died Wednesday, February 8, 2017, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 67 years, four months, and 27 days.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Christina Swincher of Columbia, KY

  • Son: Duane "Beau" Swincher, Danielle and Heather

  • Five grandchildren

  • Two brothers

  • and two sisters
