By Laura Marcum
Music Teacher, Adair County Primary Center

This week the ACPC students had a visit from our local fire department. Zach Giles and Brandon Minton were the firefighters who came to speak. They talked about fire safety, the importance of having a smoke detector, and having a meeting place in case of a fire. They modeled the "Stop, Drop, and Roll" technique in case someone was on fire and had some of the students model it as well. They also let students climb inside the firetruck and test out the seats. Also firefighters Brandon White and Chris Bragg joined later in the day.
