Firefighters visit Adair County Primary Center Students learn how to avoid injury from fire; get time aboard firetruck to test the seats Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) By Laura Marcum Music Teacher, Adair County Primary Center This week the ACPC students had a visit from our local fire department. Zach Giles and Brandon Minton were the firefighters who came to speak. They talked about fire safety, the importance of having a smoke detector, and having a meeting place in case of a fire. They modeled the "Stop, Drop, and Roll" technique in case someone was on fire and had some of the students model it as well. They also let students climb inside the firetruck and test out the seats. Robert Junior Long, Casey County, KY (1941-2016) Mr. Long was a member of Pine Grove Community Church. He was a wonderful husband and father. Mr. Long was known by many to be a jack of all trades. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a native of Casey County, KY, the son of the late Thomas Milton and Nettie Belle Barlow Long. His wife of over 54 years, survives. He was the patriarch of a great family, numbering 33 direct living descendants, spanning four generations of survivors.
