She was the matriarch of a distinguished Cumberland County, KY family. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Nora (Groce) Wright, and the widow of Roy F. Washington County fatal collision occurs Sun at Willisburg, KY By TFC William Gregory, Public Information Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY WILLISBURG, KY (10 Oct 2016) - Tpr. Logan Smith is investigating a collision that occurred on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at approximately 11pmET, 1 mile north of Willisburg on KY 53. A 2005 KIA, operated by an unidentified person, was traveling north on KY 53 when the vehicle left the roadway, traveled down an embankment, struck a tree and caught fire. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene but due to the extensive damage from the fire, no identification has been made. Charles Hedgespeth is investigating a collision that occurred Sunday, October 9, 2016 at approximately 1:15pmET, 8 miles south of Liberty on KY 910. 26-year-old Lauren Thomas, of Liberty, was operating a westbound 2000 Chevy when the vehicle left the roadway, went airborne and landed on it's side.
