Her husband Dean Mann, survives. She leaves two direct living descendants. She was a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church in Albany, KY

Statement from Commissioner of Agriculture Ryan Quarles on Blue Grass Stockyards fire:

FRANKFORT, KY (7:41pmCT, Sat 30 Jan 2016) -- "This is truly a sad day for Blue Grass Stockyards and the agricultural community. A historic piece of Kentucky agriculture has been lost, but we are thankful to hear that all stockyard employees escaped the blaze without injury. We also salute the more than 120 firefighters who continue working to contain and put out this massive fire. Our firefighters do a dangerous job with skill and courage, and we appreciate all they do to protect us.

Mrs. Nina Mae Riddle Jarvis, 96, Burkesville, KY (1919-2016)

She was of the Baptist faith. She was a high school graduate and received her teaching certificate from Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, KY. Later, she received a Masters Degree in Education from Western Kentucky University, attained her Rank I, and 30 hours above the Rank I. Her career spanned many years of service in The Cumberland County School System, having been Principle of Marrowbone and Kettle Schools, schoolteacher, guidance counselor, and Director of Pupil Personnel.

CU students visit Iowa University, interviewing presidential candidates, researching and learning politics and media hands on

Dr. Shawn Williams, Campbellsville University's associate professor of political science, is in Iowa this week with students from his Politics and Social Media class. The class traveled to the Iowa Caucus for the 2016 Presidential Campaign, where they have an opportunity to experience lessons they're learning in the classroom in a whole new way.
