Lloyd W. Krueger, Russell Co., KY (1928-2015)

He was a retired U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Jamestown Christian Church. Mr. Krueger was a native of Marinette, WI, and was a resident of Russell Springs, KY, at the time of his death. His wife, Mary Eva (Lester) Krueger, survives. He leaves 17 direct living descendants.

Mizell celebrates catching first collegiate pass



2015-10-17 - Blue Raider Stadium, 928 Russell Road, Columbia, KY . Lindsey Wilson College quarterback Zak Mizell of Franklin, TN (No. 7), celebrates catching his first collegiate pass - a 45-yard touchdown reception - with wide receiver Hunter Lovell of Jonesboro, GA. (No. 84), in the fourth quarter of Saturday afternoon's game against No. 18-ranked Faulkner (Ala.) University at Blue Raider Stadium. Mizell caught what proved to be the winning score in LWC's 24-19 win over the Eagles. The Blue Raiders - ranked No. 1 in the NAIA - are 6-0 overall and 1-0 in the Mid-South Conference West Division. Mr. Jerry Simpson Wilcoxson, 71, Green Co., KY (1944-2015)

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summershade United Methodist Church. He was a former employee for Greensburg Manufacturing Co. having worked with the company for over 20 years. Mr. Wilcoxson was also a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Army. His wife of 44 years, Debra Lynn Nunn Wilcoxson, survives. He leaves five direct living descendants.

The funeral services for Mr. Jerry Simpson Wilcoxson will be conducted at 10amCT, Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Summershade Cemetery will full military honors conducted by the Marion County Veteran's Honor Guard. Bro. Darrell Coffey and Bro. William Davenport will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 9pmCT, Monday, October 19, 2015, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Tuesday until time of the funeral service.

Dwight Cave, Taylor Co., KY (1927-2015)

He was a veteran of WWII and remained in the U.S. Naval Reserves until he was 50. He was retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service, but continued an active live helping others and working for his church. After moving to Campbellsville, KY, in 1997, he owned his dream farm. He was a member of Pittman Lodge No 124 F&AM, and the Scottish Rite. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Temple. His wife of 45 years, Rose Cundiff Cave, survives. He leaves a host of living descendants, whom he deeply loved.

Things People Need to Know: - Genice Leftwich Marcum, a descendant of Adair County Crocus Creek writer Joe Turner, is always spotting news, especially that of a serious nature which comes from Mother Earth. This year is no different as she spotted news in Edmonton that predicts heavy snows this winter by examining the inner personality of a persimmon seed.
