Adair County woman arrested; drug offenses alleged By Ofc. Josh Brockman, Public Information Officer Columbia City Police Department, Jason Cross Chief At 9:59pmCT, on September 1, 2015, Columbia, KY, police officers were dispatched to verbal dispute on Burkesville Street. Upon arrival officers made contact with 39 year old Jennifer Melson, who was under the influence and causing a disturbance. Melson was arrested by CPD Ofc John Dial for Public Intoxication of a Controlled Substance and possession of a controlled cubstance and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail, Columbia, KY. *** An arrest is not a finding of guilt.
