Traffic Advisory: Northbound I-65 Mile Points 58-64

Update: 10:15pmCT - Site is clear and traffic flow is returning to normal. - Chris Jessie

By Chris Jessie

A commercial vehicle with an oversized load cannot cross the northbound bridge over CSX Railroad near Exit 65 due to width clearance. The CMV is in the LEFT lane.

With ongoing construction, northbound lanes are divided in this area by barrier wall. Crews are working to get the vehicles behind the CMV out of the section enclosed by barrier wall. After other vehicles are cleared, the CMV will have to travel in reverse back to Exit 58. This will keep the LEFT lane closed for the next 4+ hours.

Epicurean Kentuckian: Joyce Coomer reviews food this week

By Joyce Coomer
Personal Critiques

I've had a good run with lunches this week -- all were delicious and hit the spot.

Monday was BLT's from Quick Stop.

Tuesday, was BBQ shoulder from Moore's Pool & Lunch.

Wednesday, no one had posted anything on their menus that tempted me so I went with a bacon sandwich from Five Star (Their bacon sandwiches are always good).

Yesterday it was back to Moore's Pool & Lunch for spaghetti and today was take-out from the buffet at Tray's Garden -- they had rice noodles! Thanks to everyone for the great meals! - Joyce M. Coomer

About: Gov. Beshear's Statement on Marriage Licenses in Rowan County
Not all statements submitted on this subject will be posted. This one is chosen because it meets our criteria for civil discourse at its highest levels. - EW

By Jon Halsey
Personal commentary

In his Statement on Marriage Licenses in Rowan County Gov. Beshear said: "...I have no legal authority to relieve them of their statutory duty by executive order." His position echoes the official White House position "There's a rule of law and the principle of the rule of law is central to our democracy. And it's appropriate in this instance for a federal judge to determine the best way to enforce the law."
