But Campbellsville University actually fields more student-athletes - approximately 725 including varsity teams in all sports and junior varsity teams in some sports - than either of the big public schools, and athletes make up a far higher percentage of the student body than at most other colleges and universities.

Tommy Melson writes:
Ms. Miller,
The safety of the children is paramount in decision to build the bus garage. It means safer and newer buses to the county, not just for some but all the children. Don't get me wrong, the accomplishments of the Adair Co Band for the school are beyond measure, but the bus garage serves all and that is the important thing here... --Tommy Melson

Thinks new band building should have come before bus garage

Personal commentary

Vicki Brock Miller writes:
I'm quite surprised that our School Board would choose to build a bus garage when a new band room, which would be considered a instructional facility, is so badly needed. The well being and safety of the students should take priorty over the buses. There should be something in the laws that govern school boards to prevent such a decision.

For many years Adair County band students have worked so hard and given our community so much to be proud of. More importantly many band alumni have gone on to have great careers in different fields of music. Just the opinion of one band alumni. Thanks. - Vicki Brock Miller
