CM Classified: Little Girl's Pair of Prescription Glasses

FOUND - a little girl's pair of prescription glasses at the Road Side Park Saturday 8/22/15. We were having a child's birthday party at the park today and other children were also playing at the park. Afterwards while cleaning up we found the prescription glasses. We believe they belong to a little girl that was at the park along with two other young kids and an adult male. I really want the glasses to get back to the rightful owner. Flashing white lights along flight path of Air Evac

The tower lights for what I'm told change to white during daylight hours because it's easier to see and to red at night time hours. Also it's the flight path of Air Evac from Campbellsville to Westlake helipad. The cell tower in my area also changes like the TV tower does. - Lorne Holler

George Thomas (Uncle Mose) Mattingly, Taylor County, KY (1945-2015

He was a member of a very large, highly regarded family. His passing leaves 15 surving siblings of 19 children born to the late Earl Mattingly and Alice Bertha Spalding Mattingly. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, and was a recipient of the of the Purple Heart. He was a retired operator with Tennessee Gas Transmission Company. He was a native of Marion County, KY, and a resident of Taylor County, KY, at the time of his death. He as the son of the late Earl Mattingly and Alice Bertha Spalding Mattingly. His wife of over 45 years, Phyllis Hazelwood Mattingly, survives. He leaves seven direct living descendants.

Elwood Tucker, 78, Taylor County, KY (1937-2015)

He was Vice President of Manufacturing with Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and retired after forty-three years. He was a member of Elk Horn United Methodist Church. He was the son of the late W.R."Bob" Tucker. His wife of over 61 years, Peggy Tucker, survives. He leaves 14 direct living descendants.

Opal Wright, 76, Campbellsville, KY (1938-2015)

She was a retired employee of Taylor Regional Hospital and a member of Campbellsville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a native of Taylor County, KY and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Bennett and Rhoda Hunt Bennett and the widow of Veachel Wright, her husband of over 36 years. She leaves 12 direct living descendants.

Mrs. Jewell Baker Garmon, 92, Burkesville, KY (1923-2015)

She was a member of the Burkesville First United Methodist Church in Burkesville, Kentucky and an inspector for Bob Evans Manufacturing. She was a native of Cumberland County, KY and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Hess & Ina Tweedy Baker. She leaves nine direct living descendants.

Mrs. Jewell Baker Garmon, age 92, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 1pmCT, in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Rev. R. Thomas Wilson officiating. The family received friends after 5pmCT, on Thursday, August 20, 2015 until the funeral hour on Friday. Burial is in the Burkesville Cemetery.

Bowling Green, KY - (August 21, 2015) - A pavement rehabilitation project will continue between the I-65 interchange and the Glasgow Outer Loop. Motorists should expect mobile lane closures this week as crews complete this project. Motorists should be aware that the speed limit has been reduced through the construction zone. The work is subject to change.
