Mrs. Jewell Baker Garmon, 92, Burkesville, KY (1923-2015) She was a member of the Burkesville First United Methodist Church in Burkesville, Kentucky and an inspector for Bob Evans Manufacturing. She was a native of Cumberland County, KY and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Hess & Ina Tweedy Baker. She leaves nine direct living descendants. Mrs. Jewell Baker Garmon, age 92, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 1pmCT, in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Rev. R. Thomas Wilson officiating. The family received friends after 5pmCT, on Thursday, August 20, 2015 until the funeral hour on Friday. Burial is in the Burkesville Cemetery. Mrs. Jewell Baker Garmon, 92, Burkesville, KY (1923-2015) She was born in Cumberland County, KY, on Thursday, April 5, 1923, the daughter of Hess and Ina Tweedy Baker. She died Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at the age of 92 years, four months, and 14 days. She was a member of the Burkesville First United Methodist Church in Burkesville, Kentucky and an inspector for Bob Evans Manufacturing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, J.R. Garmon; her brothers, David Baker, Chester Tweedy, Bedford Tweedy, Homer Tweedy, and Garland Tweedy; her sisters, Ruth Baker, Opal Dicken and her special friend, Harold Abernathy. She is survived by the following:
