Robert Cumming comments on sale of trophies

Robert Cumming writes:

I find it appalling that any high school would ever think of auctioning off any school "surplus" trophies. Who defines a physical manifestation (trophy) of school pride, spirit and achievement as "surplus"? If storage space is a consideration I'm sure the school vocational wood shop students are capable of building new hall way display cabinets. Concerned people should immediately contact school Superintendant Reed and all school board members and stop this trophy sale travesty before it happens ASAP. - Robert Cumming

Eric Goodin: Appalled at sale of any trophy

By Eric Goodin
Personal commentary

I am appalled at the sale of any trophies which have been achieved by our students/student athletes. This is a huge mistake. I know I was a part of the S.K.A.C. winning golf team under the coaching of Glynn "Red" Nixon and should that trophy be gotten rid of is as just as important to me as any other trophy out there. - Eric Goodin
