Ian Christopher Davis, 13, Liberty, KY (2001-2015)

Ian was an 8th grade student at Casey County Middle School. He was a member of the Casey County 4-H Club, where he participated in the Straight Shooters Club. Ian enjoyed hunting, riding his 4-wheeler, and being outdoors. He was a member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

Ian Christopher Davis, age 13, of Liberty, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015, in Casey County, KY.

Funeral services will be at 4pmCT/5pmET Thursday, March 19, 2015, at the Casey County Middle School Gymnasium with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4pm-8pmCT/5pm-9pmET at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and from 7amCT/8amET until 1pmCT/ 2pmET on Thursday at the funeral home. There will also be visitation on Thursday from 3pm-4pmCT/4pm-5ET, at the Casey County Middle School Gymnasium, 1673 E State Hwy 70, Liberty, KY.



Ian Christopher Davis, 13, Liberty, KY (2001-2015)


Born March 18, 2001, in Boyle Co., KY, he was the son of John and Crystal Wilson Davis. He died Sunday, March 15, 2015, in Casey County, KY, at the age of 13 years, 11 months, 25 days.

Ian was an 8th grade student at Casey County Middle School. He was a member of the Casey County 4-H Club, where he participated in the Straight Shooters Club. Ian enjoyed hunting, riding his 4-wheeler, and being outdoors. He was a member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his parents, John and Crystal Wilson Davis of Liberty, KY, and the following:
  • Sister: Addison Davis of Liberty, KY

  • Maternal grandparents: Earl and Brenda Wilson of Liberty, KY

  • Aunts: Melissa Durham and Susan Helm, both of Yosemite, KY

  • Uncles: Steve (Connie) Davis of Versailles, KY; and Jimmy Couch of Liberty, KY

  • Cousins: Blake, Tanner, Cierra, Angella, Matthew, and Sara.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Marguerite Davis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Casey County 4-H Straight Shooters Club, c/o Casey County Extension Office, 1517 Wallace Wilkinson Blvd., Liberty, KY 42539.
