Boil Water Advisory for All of Campbellsville

A boil water advisory has been issued for all of Campbellsville Water Co. Water System due to a repair of a water main line leak.

You should experience a water outage while these repairs are being made. Therefore, though bacteriological contamination of the water has not been confirmed, the possibility of such contamination exists. This advisory is issued as a precautionary measure to protect the health and welfare of consumers in your area.

Bacteriological sampling will occur after the repairs are made. Sample analysis will indicate the presence or absence of harmful bacteria in the water. The Kentucky Division of Water will be notified when a sample free of bacteria is taken.  They will lift the Boil Water Advisory at that time and you will be notified of such action as soon as possible.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY Procedures:
1. Boil any water used for human consumption.
2. Boil water for short-term use only.
3. Bring water to a rolling boil for three minutes.

Thank you for your cooperation during these necessary repairs.

E911 Communications, Malissa McCarol

Next earlier story on water main break:
Campbellsville water system faces 3-4 more hours of repair

By Larry Smith, The Big Dawg radio, FM 99.9

The 18-inch water main which broke in Miller Park has been repaired, and water is flowing again in most of the City of Campbellsville, but at very low pressure. Reports we're getting now is that restaurants have mostly restricted service - for beverages - and have used work-arounds from alternate sources to remain open. We expect a boil water to be issued, but have not received word of one at this time. - Larry Smith, Operations Manager, Shoreline Communications
