Dale (Henry) Williams, Windsor, KY (1954-2014) He was a native of Berea, KY, and a resident of Windsor, KY, at the time of his death. His wife, Tina Ferry Williams, survives. Dale enjoyed talking to his buddies on the CB radio, where he was known as "Henry". He loved to hunt for arrowheads and was an avid deer hunter. New GED Classes coming to the Adair Co. Adult Education Center By LeAnna Bennett The Adair County Adult Education Center, 108 Lindsey Wilson Street, is offering classes that will take the stress and worry out of getting a GED. Classes begin Monday, February 3, 2014 and the deadline to register is Monday, January 27, 2014. During these classes, students will receive the skills needed to pass the GED test, including the computer skills necessary to take the test. [Adair County News, 22 January 1958] Country Music Program Slated - Pee Wee King and Others to Aid Local Polio Drive--Pee Wee King, of Louisville, Joe[l] Ray Sprowls and the Lincoln Jamboree and many others will join in on the county music festival to aid the Big March of Dimes benefit scheduled January 28. The program will get underway at 7:30 pm on Tuesday in the Adair County High School gymnasium. Also included on the program are Mike Page and the Kentucky Kouple, of Owensboro, Half Shot Jackson with his impersonation of Elvis Presley, the Sputniks, of Indiana, Charles Durham...Oris Gowen and Edwin Cundiff, both of Columbia, are co-chairmen. Henry, Librarian, said this week. "While some of these books are not newly published they are equally as good as some on the best seller lists of today. Many of them," she continued, "were given in memory of Paul Hughes, who was a former citizen of Columbia and whose sister, Mrs. Horace Cundiff, lives here now. All of these books listed today are excellent and came from his friends in many parts of Kentucky."
