Tears of fawn caused her father to quit hunting

'My dad hunted deer but quit when I was five. He told me the reason why he quit hunting then and even though it was over 50 years ago that he told me his story, I have never forgotten it and still cry when I think of it . . . My dad said the fawn's cries sounded exactly like human babies sound when they cry.' - JEANIE PETRIK

By Jeanie Petrik

I agree 100% with Peg regarding her views on "hunting" deer. People don't "hunt" anymore. They bait the deer with corn and then shoot them from their cozy deer stand when they come to eat the corn they know is there for them to eat. It truly is Ambush and I for one also don't see how anybody with a heart can do this.
