SPRINGFIELD, KY - Tpr. Jonathan Houk is investigating a collision that occurred on Sunday, October 13, 2013, at 4:12pmET. 77-year-old Thomas Crutcher of Liberty, KY, was traveling west on US 150 when he struck a 2002 Ford operated by 65-year-old Arlene Reardon of Springfield, KY, in the rear.

Mr. Elvin O. Giles, Adair Co., KY (1933-2013)

He was known as a man of the highest integrity, a man of who lived a devout Christian life. He was a member of a highly regarded North Adair County , KY family. He was the son of the late Charlie and Nancy Clyde May Giles. He leaves eight direct living descendants. Mr. Giles was a member of the Knifley Brethren in Christ Church, a U.S. Air Force Korean Veteran, a retired electrician and supervisor from IMO-Delaval factory in Columbia, KY and was an active member of the Adair County Gideon Camp.

John Gilbert Kessinger, age 55 of Saloma Road in Campbellsville was last seen at his residence on Wednesday October 9 around 1pmCT by his wife. He has been known to find rides to visit family in Dandridge, Jefferson Co., Tennessee near Knoxville, but family there has not heard from him

Got Used Children's Books??

Children outgrow story books and here is a way to recycle the books to be placed in the hospital as well as the Adair County Health Center waiting rooms. Visitors at the WRH Fair starting at 6:30amCT, at Westlake Regional Hospital, 901 Westlake Drive, Columbia, KY, on Saturday, October 19, 2013, are requested to bring "out grown" children's books and place them in a container provided at the table of the Columbia Woman's Club. A label will be placed in each book saying it was provided by caring people in our community. Look for the table with the yellow cloth and purple bags into which books may be deposited.
