By Patty Jones, Principal

As of this morning, Friday, July 26, 2013, the waxing of the floors on the first wing to be occupied at Adair County Primary Center was complete. New furniture will be moved into the first wing of classrooms on Monday by personnel of Danville Office Equipment, the supplier for the new school.

The only area that will need additional time will be the cafeteria and gym area. These are expected to be completed soon after the opening of the remainder of the school on August 14, 2013.

An informational meeting for parents of ACPC students will be announced in the near future. Meanwhile, class lists and supply lists are posted on the Adair County Primary Center website. - PATTY JONES, Principal.

Life in The Holler: One family won't receive full Holler hospitality

Click on headline for Life in The Holler with two (2) (Scaredy-cat Warning. Warning. Warning!!!) snake photos containing three (3) Heather Evans-judged non venomous snakes. - CM

By Shamarie Claiborne

Just a bit more on those snake pictures from The Holler.

On the way home Wednesday we saw three snakes ... if this keeps up I will have to petition the Adair County Fiscal Court to change the name from "Old Clear Springs Road." to "Snake Springs Road."

If you look closely in the waterfalls photo there are two snakes enjoying the cool spring feed water in the creek. I figure there is a family that has moved in under that there ledge...

Glad to learn from Heather Evans that she doesn't think they are copperheads.

But, Just for the record ... I don't think I will be taking a pie and introducing myself anytime soon. - Shamarie Claiborne
