Rollan Cannon, age 77, of Liberty, KY passed away on Wednesday July 24, 2013, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services will be held at 12pmCT/1pmET, Saturday July 27, 2013 at Poplar Grove Baptist Church, 428 Chelf Ridge Road, Liberty, KY. Rev. Brent Huggins and Rev. Russell Rigney officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 4pmCT/5pmET, Friday July 26, 2013 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY 49 Hwy, Liberty, KY and after 9amCT/10amET on Saturday July 27, 2013 at Poplar Grove Baptist Church.


Rollan Cannon, Casey Co., KY (1935-2013)

He was born in Liberty, Casey County, KY on Sunday, November 24, 1935. he was the son of the late Andie and Ollie Woodrum Cannon. He passed away on Wednesday July 24, 2013, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 77 years, 8 months.

He was a farmer, retired employee of Matthew's Conveyor (FKI Logistics) and a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include, his wife of 58 years, Phyllis Randolph Cannon, whom he married on January 22, 1955, and the following:
  • One son: Ricky & (Linda) Cannon of Hustonville, KY

  • One daughter: Renee & (Larry) Land of Richmond, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Kristeena & (Ian) Abney, Ryan "Andie" & (Sarah) Cannon, Michael & (Lisa) Derringer, Elliott Cannon & Hilary Thomas and Clay Cannon

  • One step grandchild: Aleshia Land Boone

  • One great granddaughter: Morrighan Abney

  • And two step great grandchildren: Andrea Haverly and Alton Boone
Preceding him in death were three sisters, Ocie Frost, Marie Lynn and Effie Atwood: and two brothers, Cecil and Herman Cannon.
