Campbellsville has done wonderful job with downtown Teresa Milby writes: Due to working in Campbellsville now, I have had the pleasure of driving through downtown C-ville on a few occasions. I have commented several times, to friends, on what a great job they have done. It is really nice wish they would have stores and restaurants open on weekend nights. Where you could eat, or take a walk, or even a horse and buggy ride thru town. (If you have ever been to Paducah on weekends, at night, that's what they have). Campbellsville has done a wonderful job on their downtown. Thanks. --Teresa MilbyComments re photo 50533 Scenic Taylor Co KY Alley makeover complete 2013-07-17 15:55:42 | Comments | Printable version

Greg Thomas: Announcement soon on Adair Horse show date Horse Show July 6 had been cancelled because of weather. Watch CM for new date, expected soon By Ed Waggener First of all. The Good News: Fair attendance for Saturday night, July 13, 2013, 3,943 paid admissions, was up over the corresponding Saturday of 2012, when only 3,919 paid admissions were sold. Second of all. More Good News: An announcement is expected shortly on the Horse Show. Greg Thomas, Chairman of the Fair Board, said today that details on Kentucky Department of Agriculture participation have been worked out, and that as soon as details are negotiated with the insurance carrier, a new date will be set and the and sent to the media. Thirdly. Still More Good News: The 2013 Fair was such a big success that planning on next year's Adair County Fair and Horse Show is already underway. "It takes a lot of dedicated people to stage a county fair, and we have one of the best teams in Kentucky. Everybody was so pumped after the hugely successful finale they wanted to get started immediately next year," Thomas said. 2013-07-17 09:41:15 | Comments | Printable version
Please help us keep Birthdays list up-to-date This morning, in checking over a very long - and to us, a very long and interesting list, of Birthdays, Anniversaries and In Memory Birthdays, only two edits were obviously needed: 1) A duplication where a death had occurred, and 2) A double entry because a title was used in one entry and not in the other. After those two deletions, there were still some 30 birthdays, anniversaries, and In Memory Birthdays. As most now know, birthdays and anniversaries are posted one time and then are scheduled to repeat each year until we are notified otherwise. But we invite everyone to proofread and let us know of any other corrections needed. If you spot a duplication or a changed needed because of change in marital status or death, let us know. Today, July 17, is the very best day to post Birthdays for July 17. Before sending a July 17 birthday, just check the Birthdays list. Missing Birthday, Anniversaries, and In Memory Birthdays should then be sent using any Contact/Submit button. Thanks for remembering all our sponsors and advertisers, especially any and all advertising on Birthdays. Without advertisers and sponsors CM would not be possible. 2013-07-17 04:11:26 | Comments | Printable version
