I65/US 31W Traffic delays In Hart and Northern Barren Counties

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (Friday, March 29, 2013 - 1:52pmCT) - Traffic on Southbound I65 continues to be very slow and stopped in spots from near the construction zone at the Barren/Hart County line extending back to about Bonnieville. The backup is believed to be a result of motorists attempting to observe construction activities near Cave City.

Credit where due: Goes first to GED graduates setting examples

All the credit for GED success due to students themselves, Le Anna Bennett says, with special thanks to Supt. Alan Reed for his support - and with the announcement that Adair County is now ranked 21st among the 120 centers statewide, and just nine months into the fiscal year, Adair County has already met state requirements. Anyone interested in registering for GED classes can call the center at 270-384-7475.

I'm attaching a photo of a sign on the Berea College Campus honoring my uncle Harold D. Rosenbaum as a Distinguished Alumnus. There will still be folks in Adair that remember Uncle Harold. He was a proud graduate of Yellow Hammer and Glensfork High School. He was always proud of his Adair County roots and had many interesting stories of his boyhood at Fairplay. - David Rosenbaum
