A judge has ruled that Columbia, KY, attorney Gail Williams can serve as Commonwealth Attorney representing the 29th Judicial Circuit comprised of Adair and Casey Counties.

Special Judge Marc I. Rosen ruled today, Friday, November 16, 2012, that Williams' "actual residence" was in Adair County when he filed for the job of Commonwealth Attorney for Adair and Casey Counties and now this clears the way for Gail Willliams to be installed as Commonwealth Attorney representing the 29th Judicial Circuit. The lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice; the motion was ruled on today, Friday, November 16, 2012 in Adair County, KY. - Larry Smith
