Flossie Haggard passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 at the Casey County Hospital, Liberty, KY. She was 99.

Funeral services are 2pmET/1pmCT, Sunday, November 18, 2012 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Sherman Floyd officiating. Burial is at Antioch Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 11amET/10amCT, until funeral service.



Flossie Haggard, Casey Co., KY (1912-2012)


She was born Wednesday, December 25, 1912 in Casey County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Lafe and Ella Games Sharp. She died Friday, November 16, 2012, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 99 years, 10 months, and 22 days.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She was the widow of Otis G. Haggard, who passed away March 30, 1989.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son: Larry (Alma) Haggard of Liberty, KY

  • Three daughters, Lou Wanda (Herbert) Davis of Dunnville, KY; Phyllis (Curt) Fights of Huntsville, AL; and Louise (Boyd) of Stanford, KY

  • A sister, Etwell Floyd of Liberty, KY

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Numerous great and great great grandchildren
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by three grandchildren; brother, Lewis Sharp; and four sisters, Nettie Fair, Mabel Emerson, Minnie Lawhorn and Chelsie Sharp. Funeral services entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with guestbook available at www.mckinneybrown.com.
