Called BJF mystery tree: Purple Locust

They seemed more of a shrub than a tree

Joyce M Coomer writes:
We always called these "purple locusts" and I don't remember them ever getting much higher than the woven-wire fence. They seemed more of a shrub than a tree on our place. Daddy would let them grow up in the fencerow and it seems like they would die down in a few years, as others would be coming up to take their place. --Joyce M Coomer

Just a note: Occasionally we receive classifieds with no contact information for the potential buyers and no email or phone number for us to call the advertiser.
