Adair Co. KY teachers receive CU Excellence in Teaching Awards

News from Campbellsville University

Campbellsville University awarded Excellence in Teaching Awards to 169 educators from across Kentucky including three recipients from the Adair County School District during the 24th annual awards program Saturday, May 15, 2010, in the Winters Dining Hall of the E. Bruce Heilman Student Complex on the Campbellsville University campus. They are:
  • Tammy Dean Shelton, John Adair Intermediate School, a 1987 CU alumna

  • Sommer Jean Brown, Adair County Middle School

  • Christy Lynn Dover, Adair County High School, a 2005 CU alumna
The three were accompanied to the event by Darrell Treece, Adair Co. School Superintendent; Brenda Mann, Adair Co. Assistant Superintendent; and Phyllis Curry, Instructional Supervisor for the Adair County School District.

Obituary: Mr. John Lloyd Zeno, 83, Adair Co., KY

Mr. Zeno was retired from the US Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War and World War II. He was a member of the Lions Club and was a MG car enthusiast.

Mr. John Lloyd Zeno of Columbia, KY, son of the late Alvin Carl Zeno and Paullett Anderson Zeno, was born on Wednesday, May 26, 1926 in Dayton, Ohio and departed this life on Friday, May 14, 2010 at the Taylor Regional Hospital, Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY. He was 83 years, 11 months, and 18 days of age.
