Westlake Regional Hospital is proud to display the new address marker placed near the sign at the front entrance of the hospital. The address maker is one of the many which have been made and sold throughout the county by the Adair County FFA.

These markers can be vital to first responders in locating a particular business/residence and a great way to support one our strongest local organizations for high school students.

Academics should be first concern

About: Adair Co. School Board April 15 2010 meeting report

I really think that the school board needs to consider their priorities. Academics should be their first concern.

If a worth while industry wanted to locate any where around here, would they look at, baseball, football, basketball or even band, I think not. I truly think our first concern should always be academics!

Sports and Band are important, but the level of education should always be at the top of the list for funding.

This is an International competition! I for one can not think of a better way to bring attention to Adair County.

Thanks,

s/Trudy Crabb
