Smart Cow

2009-02-12 - New Concord Road, Adair County, KY - Photo by Shamarie Claiborne.
"Not only does Terry Patton have the best Christmas lights on New Concord Road, but he also owns the smartest cattle as well," writes Shamarie Claiborne. "I just wish I could have got a shot of it crossing the bridge!" An update at 8:08amCT, Friday, February 13, 2009: Shamarie fesses up that she now knows how the cow took over, occupied, and became king of the island, but didn't say how. Our guess is that it swam from the other side. Maybe Shamarie will let us know what she knows, later.

About: Columbia Poet-Mayor has verse for the GBBC

Hey Ed,

Thanks for doing a great job with the Columbia Magazine.

Pat And I talked about these bird houses as we traveled the highways of this great state. I got to read the poem shortly after he wrote it. Enjoyed it again. Thanks for publishing it.

I have tried to get Pat to write a book about some of his experiences only if he will leave out some of ours.
