Lindsey Wilson Baseball opens season in Edmonton, KY

COLUMBIA, KY -- The Lindsey Wilson College baseball team's season opener on Saturday has been moved to Metcalfe County High School in Edmonton, KY.

The Blue Raiders had hoped to open their season at their new home, but delays primarily due to the unforgiving weather this winter, made playing at the new complex impossible this weekend.



Lindsey Wilson hosts Iowa Wesleyan College in a pair of doubleheaders scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. Lindsey Wilson won three of four games last season in the two programs 2008 season-openers at Raider Field.

The Blue Raiders enter the 2009 season with just 11 players off last seasons 19-30 squad. Iowa Wesleyan finished the 2008 season with a 21-27 record.
