Remembering Elva England: Will miss her smile and hug

Comment on reading Obituary, Elva Firquin England

To ColumbiaMagazine.com

As a youngster growing up and starting school in Knifley my thoughts go back to my 3rd an 4th grade. When you are young and really had rather be somewhere else.

The first day of school my 3rd grade year was such as wonderful day because I had Mrs. England as my teacher. She was the most caring loving person I had ever met. She took all of us under her wing and gave us all her undivided attention, and treated us as though we where her children and not students.

We all have Teachers in our lives we think a lot of, but by far, Mrs. England made a great impact on me.

We will all miss that great hug and smile.

s/Sheila Hare
