Fatal accident occurs in edge of Taylor County

Second fatality at location in just over one year
Kenneth Teets, 35, 889 Haskinsville Road, Greensburg, KY, was pronounced dead at Taylor County Regional Hospital after being transferred there following a two vehicle collision at the intersection of KY 55 & Ebeneezer Road, just north of Coburg in Adair County and of Asbury UMC Church, in Taylor County.

The accident occurred at 7:30amCT/8:30amET, this morning, Monday, June 16, 2008, when Jonathon Darnell, 20, also of Greensburg, KY, operating a 1999 GMC Pickup, turned left at Ebeneezer Road from Northbound KY 55 into the path of a 2000 Chevy S10 Pickup, operated by Kenneth Teets, which traveling south on KY 55.

Duo County Telephone Cooperative members began filing through the doors of Russell County High School on Tuesday night June 10th, for the 2008 Duo County Telephone Annual Meeting.

Duo County members rapidly filled the air-conditioned gymnasium and received a welcoming gift coffee mug. Popcorn and drink in hand, members and their guests were eager to hear about Duo Countys new packages and promotions, as well as what technological advances the company will be making throughout the year.

ESS Summer School begins today, Monday, June 16, 2008

The Extended School Services (ESS) Summer School program will begin today Monday, June 16, 2008, at Adair County High School. All students attending summer school must be registered prior to this date.

The program is designed to help students who need to or want to earn one high school credit during the summer.
