I love the beautiful picture of my Aunt Ida and Uncle Jay celebrating their anniversary. I've always been told the story of how upset my Grandpa Loy was when Aunt Ida eloped at a young age. I'm sure he never imagined at that time how happy they would still be after 60 years together.Happy Anniversary and love to you both!

Nature inquiry: Are we listening to woodland chorus?

Ed,

Are you hearing any of the locusts around?

s/ Shy Girl Varmintologist
Contact information on file

Yes. But not everywhere. The cicadian choir is downright deefening at the land island out on the old Bill Newt Curve, between New KY 61 and the loop. At Holmes Bend they can drown out the motorboats. It worth a drive out to enjoy the concerts and a lot of other places in vast Adair County we haven't visited in the last few days. -EW
