All American! Golfer Jessica Smith named to NAIA 1st Team Smith is 3rd 1st Team All-American in Lindsey Women's Golf program history. Krista Burton, Beth Cooper, and Jessica Robertson named honorable mention NAIA All-Americans By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director Lindsey Wilson College sophomore women's golfer Jessica Smith was named NAIA First Team All-American, the NAIA announced on Friday. Smith finished the season with a team-best 77.55 scoring average to become the third First Team All-American in the program's history. The Louisville, native, won four times this season and finished tied for 17th at the NAIA National Championships in San Marcos, Calif. Last month. Lindsey Wilson seniors Beth Cooper and Jessica Robertson and sophomore Krista Burton were named honorable mention All-Americans. Cooper is a 2006 First Team All-American. Robertson return as honorable mention selections. Cooper finished the season with an 80.95 scoring average and seven top-10 finishes including a win. She finished tied for 43rd in the 120-woman national tournament field. Robertson ended with an 81.68 scoring average and seven top-10 finishes. She tied for 35th at the NAIA's. Burton is a 2007 First Team All-American and the 2007 individual national champion. She concluded her season with a 79.95 scoring average and nine top-10 finishes, including a pair of wins.
