Gas Price Drumbeat: They have no mercy on Columbia

Ed:

I just checked gas prices around us and sereral are still at $3.09. Meantime ours has gone up to $3.34 Seems like they never tire of gouging us in Columbia. One of the stations here also has one in Glasgow; their price for a gallon $3.09 in Glasgow, here it is $3.35. I am still trying to find out why we are always higher here than elsewhere.

Gerald Doss

Might be because they can. At least electric cars are available. They will do for around town and get equivalent of 145mpg. ZENN -CM

Thank you to the Good Samaritans

Ed,

Yesterday, my daughter-in-law had a miscarriage...Daniel called her from Afghanistan while she was with the Doctor, who proceeded to tell him the news.

Daniel called me on my way home from work (3:30am in the morning for him). He couldn't sleep.

I pulled off to the side of Greenhills Road to console him and explain what had happened and what happens next.He was very shook up by it all.

Then he proceeded to tell me about their upcoming "mission." It was tremendously unnerving and I was already a wreck from the bad news about the miscarriage.

While I was sitting there in my car by the side of Greenhills Road, a man in a big black truck stopped to see if I was OK. I gave him a "thumbs up" and he went on his way.

Later, after the tears started, a police officer stopped also. He came to the window because he saw I was in distress.

I just want to say "thank you" to those two men.

It helped me to know that there are people out there who will still stop and aid someone in need.

Please continue to pray for our military.

Thank you, Ed, for listening.s/Pam Kermeen
