Skywarn weather class is tomorrow night, Mon. Mar. 24, 2008 EVENTS There will be a free Skywarn weather class in the basement of the Adair County Courthouse Annex Greg Thomas, Adair County Emergency Management Director tomorrow night. The class will be held Monday, March 24, 2008, at 6:00pmCT. The class will last approximately 2-3 hours and will teach participants what to look for in the weather and clouds to tell when a storm could be brewing. The instructor will be Joe Sullivan with the National Weather Service. It is free to all emergency services and citizens. Chris Allen of WBKO Tv, 13, Bowling Green, KY, will also be here. $18,000 Fellowship Awarded to Adair Countian Cindy Thrasher Two other Adair Countians, Kay Bowman and Sharon Burton, received $18,000 grants. Click Here for that story. By Vaughan Fielder, Institute for Rural Journalism and Community Issues Cindy Thrasher of Adair County, Ky. has been awarded a fellowship by the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture to take part in the third class of the Kentucky Entrepreneurial Coaches Institute. Cindy Thrasher will receive a fellowship in the amount of $18,000 in the form of eight seminars lasting two to three days in length and a week long study-tour throughout the Western United States. Thrasher intends to bring what she has learned in the seminars back into her community. Campbellsville University students, faculty and staff learned about Easter in Kenya, Brazil, Nigeria, Korea, and in New York in the United States at chapel March 19 during a Holy Week Service.
