Skateboard park advocates want volunteers

By Kerry Grant

Are you worried about Columbia's youth skating in and out of traffic and on the sidewalks?

We are looking for interested persons who would like to get involved to form a committee and generate support for a local skateboard park in Columbia.

This is your chance to voice your concerns and get involved. The youth of Columbia are an important asset to the community, and a skate park allows social interaction among the youth and develops important building blocks for a strong community.

If you are interested and want to be a part of this initiative as a volunteer or committee member, please call Shauna Vaughn at (270) 384-9872 or Kerry Grant, (240) 434-3883 or email:columbiaskate@hotmail.com
