Skateboard park advocates want volunteers By Kerry Grant Are you worried about Columbia's youth skating in and out of traffic and on the sidewalks? We are looking for interested persons who would like to get involved to form a committee and generate support for a local skateboard park in Columbia. This is your chance to voice your concerns and get involved. The youth of Columbia are an important asset to the community, and a skate park allows social interaction among the youth and develops important building blocks for a strong community. Camp Casey Kentucky Adventure class visits Frankfort, KY With one photo By Dana Harmon The Kentucky Adventure class is made up of 3rd grade students and meet every Wednesday Afternoon as part of the 21st CCLC Camp Casey after school program. They learn about all the great places around the state of Kentucky that there are to visit. As an culminating activity they take Saturday feild trips once a month to visit some of the places they have learned about in class. These boys and girls traveled to Frankfort to visit the State Capital where they received certificates naming them Honorary Pages of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
