GIGO Diary, for 2008-03-17: Even unpaid bills go in compost Take a look at the accompanying picture of a week's trash from Tucker's Station Farms which will go to he landfill, then do the math: If everybody in Adair County used the Armitage's program, there would be practically no need for an Adair County Solid Waste transfer station. Garbage haulers would find more lucrative work hauling recycled material. The City of Columbia would save a big portion of the city's budget, gas wasted by hauling excess garbage (what isn't composted; recycled material would still need to be hauled) and teh equivalent of one new small industry would be born in Adair County. -CM By Barbara Armitage GIGO Diary of a Recycler: Everyday we are going to follow my garbage to see just how close I can come to eliminating my contribution the landfills in America Today is Monday March 17, 2008. Posted 2008-03-18 St. Paddy's Day is the perfect day to go green. To celebrate we bought 4 new trees for the yard. Let's finish up your new compost pile today you won't believe the things that you have in your house that can be composted.
