Heroes: ACHS Cheerleaders return with top National Award

The Adair County Cheerleaders bus rolled into Columbia at 5:00pmCT Friday afternoon, escorted by Columbia-Adair County Firetrucks and Police Cars followed by a long caravan of cars in a triumphant parade from the Jamestown Street LBN Pkwy interchange, down Jamestown Street, through the Square Downtown, to Adair County High School.

The cheerleaders came back from the CANAM national championships in Myrtle Beach, SC, with the top national prize, the Editor's Choice squad award, one national first place award, one national runner-up award, and one third place in class national award.

More than 50 supporters caravanned with the bus to Myrtle Beach.
