Candlelight service on Square for military urged

A Salute to Daniel Kermeen, USMC

I think it would be nice for our community to be able to come together and have a candlight holding on the Square every so often to show support to our men and women in service.I would also like everyone to keep my son-in-law, Daniel Kermeen, in their prayers. He is leaving for Afghanastan on March 7, 2008. He is A wonderful person and we have be blessed to have him in our lives.

Adair Co. Boys beat Russell County 72-38

No. 25 ranked in the state, Coach Mark Fudge's team is now 23-4 on the season. Girls drop squeaker to Russell County, 46-45, and are now 11-12 on the season.

It was senior night Friday night at John Burr Memorial Gymnasium for the Adair County High School basketball teams and cheerleaders. A total of 14 students from the squad and two teams were honored during the Adair County-Russell County girls-boys basketball doubleheader.

In the girls' game, the Lady Lakers' Ashley Franklin hit the game's final shot to beat the Lady Indians 46-45. The loss dropped the Lady Indians to 11-12 on the season.

Celebrate the fantastic victory of the 23-4, Best Boys Basketball Team in the State of Kentucky victory, 72-38 victory over Russell County today. More than makes up for the Ralph Richardson days.

    Fundraiser for Columbia Christian Elementary School
    At 6:30pmCT, Saturday night, February 16, 2008, at the Christian Life Center there will be a fundraiser event for the Columbia Christian Elementary School. Admission is $5.00 per person/$2.50 for children 6 and under. There will be all kinds of food booths: Italian, Mexican, American, choose whatever you like. There will be games for the children and volleyball and basketball for everyone. There will also be an auction that will give you the chance to bid on various items donated by local business and supporters of the school.     Bloomington Church will be having a day of fun and fellowship on Saturday, February 16, 2007. We will be serving pinto beans, chili, grilled cheese, potato soup, vegetable soup, hot dogs desserts & drinks. We will be serving from 12:00 noon until the last person leaves.
