SCC Teen Theatre auditions to be held on Mon., Feb. 18, 2008

Anyone between the ages of 13 through 19 who wants to act may be interested in taking part in auditions for the Somerset Community College Teen Theatre Program on Monday, February 18, 2008.

The SCC Teen Theatre will hold open auditions for <8>The True Story of Cinderella on Monday, February 18, in Stoner Little Theatre. The theatre is located in Stoner Hall on the SCC Somerset Campus.

Columbia, KY City Council Agenda for Feb. 4, 2008 meeting

The agenda for the Monday, February 4, 2008 regular monthly meeting of the Columbia City Council has eight items, including a vote on an amendment to the City's annual budget, a vote to approve an application for Land and Water Conservation Funds grant for City Park improvements, and a vote on approving names of new streets in the Holladay Place development.

Edmonton, KY's Terran Duncan finishes with season-high 29 points

The Lindsey Wilson College womens basketball team used offensive efficiency and clutch play down the stretch to beat host Campbellsville (KY) University 76-68 tonight at Powell Athletic Center.

The Blue Raiders (14-8, 2-0 in the Mid-South Conference) shot 54.1 percent (33-of-61) from the field to win their sixth straight game and cap a perfect record in January.

Lindsey Wilson College junior guard George White hit a three-pointer with a 17.8 seconds left to upset No. 15-ranked Campbellsville (KU) University 60-57, last night,Thursday, January 31, 2008, at the Powell Athletic Center in Campbellsville.

The three-pointer capped a 31-point performance for White, who helped the Blue Raiders end a nine-game road skid.

Obituary: J.W. Keltner, 74, veteran of Korean Conflict

COLUMBIAMAGAZINE.COM OBITUARIES

Mr. Keltner was a member of a prominent Gradyville family. He was a member of New Life for the Nations, a retired truck driver, and was a major source of history of the Gradyville Community, including stories from his parents about the Gradyville Flood

J.W. Keltner, 74, of 85 J.B. Patterson Road, Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, January 30, 2008, at 8:30pm, at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green.

The funeral service will be Saturday, February 2, 2008, at 1:00pm at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Reliford officiating.

Two car injury accident in Glens Fork area

POLICE REPORTS

Two occupants were treated and released at Westlake Regional Hospitalfollowing a two vehicle crash on KY 900 yesterday afternoon at3:42pmCT, Thursday, January 31, 2008, on KY 900.

Cody Crockett, 17, Glensfork, KY was operating a 1996 Nissan, and,according to Kentucky State Police, pulled from Arlis Grant Road intothe path of a southbound 1995 Nissan on KY 900 operated by LeroySpencer, 40, Columbia, KY.

There will be a Benefit Auction for Cindy Rowe, Friday February 1, 2008 at 6:00pm CT at the VFW Building on Fairgrounds ST in Columbia, KY. There will be a Corn Toss Tournament following the auction.
