Feedback: Ed Pipalski gives his side of bridge delay LETTERS and FEEDBACK Dear Ed, The "Legal Matter" considered was simply this: the Transportation Cabinet ordered the closure of Highway 80 on October 1, 2007 also allowing the contractor to begin work. The problem was the Transportation Cabinet failed to properly aquire the property prior to begining the project. The state employees and the contractor entered our property and began the project before they had made payment "Just Compensation" and before they had completed "Aquisition"contrary to Kentucky's Supreme Law, the Constitution. An agreement on compensation and aquisition was made in May 2007, but once again "our" transportation cabinet chose an easy wrong over the hard right. s/Ed Pipalski 2008-01-13 06:13:46 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Letters and Reader Feedback
