Pridonoff Duo to perform twice at Gheens Recital Hall ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT. See also EVENTS By Joan C. McKinney CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY Eugene and Elisabeth Pridonoff, duo-in-residence and professors of Piano at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music, will perform a two-piano concert Thursday, January 24 at 8pmET/7pmCT in The Gheens Recital Hall of the Gosser Fine Arts Center. They will be performing works by Poulenc, Stravinsky, Ravel and Liszt. The two will also give a master class for university piano students Friday, January 25, 2008, from 10amET/9amCT to noonET/11amCT in The Gheens Recital Hall. The public is invited to these two events, especially the concert. Both artists have played solo recitals at Campbellsville University previously.Elisabeth and Eugene Pridonoff formed the Pridonoff Duo in 1982 making their formal debut with the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Paul Nadler. They have been compared to the great husband-wife piano duos of Josef and Rosina Lhevinne, and Vronsky and Babin and made successful debuts in New York's Tully Hall and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. in 1986, according to Dr. Wesley Roberts, professor of music at Campbellsville University. The Pridonoff Duo has performed throughout the United States in such venues as the San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival, the Lyric Arts Festival of Houston, the Shreveport Festival, the Arcady Festival, the Music Teachers National Association Conventions both national and state, including New Mexico, Texas, South Carolina, Ohio and Kentucky, the World Piano Pedagogy Conferences, and on recital series and with orchestras throughout the country. They have also been featured on National Public Radio's "Sunday Show" and with Bill McGlaughlin of "St. Paul Sunday." The writer of this story, Joan C.
